About Us

Helping the whole child thrive since 2018

OUR STORY

How Whole Child Therapy began

Whole Child Therapy was founded in 2018 by Dennis and Ina Necesito, a husband and wife team of pediatric occupational therapists. After years of working across schools, outpatient therapy, and early intervention, they set out to build a practice that would treat each child as a whole person, not a collection of symptoms, and deliver the same quality of therapy they would choose for their own children.

We opened our doors in a small corner of our current Claremont building, with just a few rooms and a handful of clients. Word spread, families kept coming, and our space grew alongside our team as we gradually expanded into more of the building. In 2019, we added our first school district partnership, a relationship that continues to this day. In 2020, the pandemic tested everything we were building, and we pivoted quickly to teletherapy so families would not lose progress. What could have been a setback became a turning point that made our clinic stronger than before.

Since then, we have continued to grow. We opened our second location in Rancho Cucamonga in 2024, and have built partnerships with school districts, charter schools, and non-public schools throughout the Inland Empire and San Gabriel Valley. Today our team of just under 70 therapists and staff schedules more than 600 sessions a week across our two clinics, plus the students we serve in schools throughout the region. The clinic has grown, but the promise behind it has not changed.

OUR PROMISE

Our promise is to provide your child with the same effective, holistic, and caring therapy that we would choose for our own families.

OUR TEAM

The people and promise behind Whole Child Therapy

Our team is what makes Whole Child Therapy what it is. We are OTs and OTAs, SLPs and SLPAs, and our administrative staff who share the same commitment to your child and the same belief in the promise we make to every family.

Our therapists bring deep experience and a wide range of specialty training, and they work closely together across disciplines so your child benefits from more than one perspective. Behind the scenes, our office team helps families navigate insurance, scheduling, and the dozens of small details that make care feel easier.

We invest in each other too. We support our staff through continuing education, mentorship, and real opportunities to grow. We celebrate together, we have fun together, and we believe the best therapy happens when the people doing it genuinely love what they do.

OUR VALUES

We embrace the whole person.
Every child is more than a diagnosis. We take the time to understand your child’s strengths, personality, and daily life, so therapy supports who they truly are.

We go the extra mile.
Exceptional care is built on the small things: returning a call, catching a detail, finding a new way to help when the first approach is not working. Our team shows up ready to do what it takes.

We are stronger together.
The best outcomes happen when everyone is aligned. Our therapists collaborate across disciplines, partner closely with families, and work alongside schools and pediatricians to support the whole child.

We cultivate a growth mindset.
We believe in the power of “yet.” Skills that have not developed yet, goals that have not been reached yet, progress that is still on its way. We see potential in every child and meet them where they are.

We like to have fun!
The best therapy does not feel like work. When sessions are playful, engaging, and joyful, kids stay motivated and real progress happens.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

The couple behind the clinic

Dennis and Ina have been working as pediatric occupational therapists for more than two decades, with careers that have spanned schools, early intervention, outpatient therapy, and skilled nursing. In 2018, they brought that combined experience together and opened Whole Child Therapy with a shared commitment to holistic, family-centered care.

Today they lead the clinic side by side. Dennis remains closely involved in direct care and school-based services, while Ina focuses on the team behind the care, supporting the therapists who make the clinic what it is. Together they are also the proud parents of two teenagers, a son and a daughter, who keep home life full, loud, and rarely dull.

Dennis Necesito, OTD, OT, ATS

Dennis has been practicing as an occupational therapist since 1997, with early career experience in school-based services at Los Angeles Unified School District, early intervention through the local Regional Center, and skilled nursing. Before founding Whole Child Therapy, he served as the lead therapist for Chino Valley Unified School District, and the vision for starting the clinic was his from the beginning.

As CEO, Dennis sets the strategic direction for Whole Child Therapy and leads the growth of our school-based partnerships. He wears a lot of hats day to day, and alongside his strategic work, he remains deeply hands-on in clinical care, providing therapy and conducting assessments at both our clinics and in schools, as well as completing Assistive Technology assessments and Independent Educational Evaluations. His dedication shows up in the small things too. Whether he is steering the future of the practice or spending a weekend at the clinic planting new landscaping and meeting the handyman about repairs, he shows up ready to do what it takes.

Dennis received his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1997 and his Post-Professional Doctorate from Rocky Mountain University in 2017, with a specialty track in Administration and Management. He holds certifications in Sensory Integration Praxis Testing (SIPT #2591), Assistive Technology (CSU Northridge), Therapeutic Listening, and Interactive Metronome.

When he is not working, Dennis enjoys time with his family, binge-watching a good political drama, making barbecue in the smoker, and gardening.

Corina "Ina" Necesito, MS, OT

Ina has been practicing as an occupational therapist since 1999, bringing over 15 years of pediatric experience before co-founding Whole Child Therapy. She worked at the Children’s Services Center for Casa Colina Centers for Rehabilitation for nine years, and then served as co-lead therapist at the Ontario-Montclair School District for six years.

As Clinic Director, Ina oversees the people and systems that make Whole Child Therapy run. Her focus is on the team: supporting therapists, investing in their development, and creating the kind of environment where clinicians can do their best work for the children they serve. She also supports the clinic’s behind-the-scenes operations, from day-to-day finance and purchasing to the internal systems that keep the practice running smoothly. Beyond the clinic, she serves on the advisory board for a local occupational therapy program.

Ina received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Philippines in 1999 and her Post-Professional Master’s from San Jose State University in 2013. She holds certifications in Sensory Integration Praxis Testing (SIPT #3147) and Interactive Metronome.

Away from the clinic, Ina is an avid reader (200 books last year and counting) who jumps between creative hobbies like journaling, scrapbooking, drawing, and the occasional knitting or crochet project. She is also proud to be the parent of two teenagers both working toward Eagle Scout.
